Family Room Refresh & New Accent Chairs

A while back when I was working on a fun project in my “mom cave” (living room/office), we moved our family room chairs into the space and I really loved the way they looked in there. This left us with a need for replacement chairs in the recently made-over family room, but I wasn’t sure exactly what I wanted. The chairs needed to be small enough to work in the space and also not obscure the entire view of the fireplace, but large enough that an adult could comfortably sit in them when we are in need of extra seating. (We already have a sofa and armchair, so these are more for when we entertain guests.) Luckily, Kohl’s came to the rescue and offered up a pair of their Charlotte Swoop Arm chairs which I chose in light gray.

I also chose some other home accents from Kohl’s to complement the space, like an antler bowl, a gold and glass tray, and a two-toned wood and blue vase. Plus, I snatched up some gallery frames to hang on the wall around the TV which I’ll share soon. (Just have to figure out what to display in them!)

For now, I think the chairs are neutral enough to work in the space and the scale is perfect. Kohl’s offers a wide variety of furniture, including several other arm chairs to choose from too, and this particular chair comes in a variety of colors and patterns.
