It’s been a while since I’ve shared an “Inspired By” post. For those of you who are new, I have a series called “Inspired By” where I share a round-up of decor inspired by a certain topic. (You can see all of the past posts here.) This week I thought I would share some home decor items inspired by wildlife. As always, sources can be found linked below.
Rug / Wallpaper / Bookends / Moose Print / Zebra Dish
Although the bookends are technically sheep, I thought they were sort of abstract and had a close enough resemblance to goats, so I had to snatch them up! (Speaking of the famous goats, I will have a follow up to share in the near future!) As for the fawn wallpaper, I’ll be adding that to our closet very soon. (You can see my closet mood board here.)
I love incorporating decor elements that are reminiscent of nature, and right now I’m on a little bit of an animal kick. (Faux, that is!) I also love this faux fur pillow, which I have in my mom cave. I think the key is to add it in moderation. A pillow here, a faux fur rug there. I wouldn’t go all out with a ton of fake animal decor overwhelming one room, because it can easily get tacky really fast. I think a touch here and there is nice and adds a bit of texture.
What do you think about wildlife-inspired decor? Love it or hate it? Let me know!
