We still have a TON of work to do on our 80s wet bar to coffee bar transformation, but we’re making a little bit of progress! (If you’re just joining me, you can check out our plans for the space here, and our Week 2 progress including some sources here.) This post contains affiliate links.
I’ve painted the walls (Gray Owl to coordinate with the family room since they are connected), and we are narrowing down our tile choice. I think we’ve actually changed our mind from the white subway tile we originally chose, but nothing too drastically different. I’ll share that as soon as we have it nailed down for sure.
I’ve ordered these cabinet pulls from Amazon and they should arrive any day.
We did receive our sink, but unfortunately it arrived damaged. Luckily Wayfair has amazing customer service so they shipped out a new one that same day and I received it the very next day. Crisis averted.
We are trying to find the perfect vintage rug, but we haven’t settled on one just yet. The one on my moodboard is out of stock, and a tad too long, unfortunately. We’re also narrowing down shelf bracket options. The one I have my heart set on are $30 each and we need 6 of them, so we’re investigating more budget-friendly options.
We’re also struggling with art for the space, but we do have some ideas.
Still left on the to do list:
- Paint cabinets
- Tile the wall
- Switch out cabinet hardware
- Install new sink
- Install new faucet
- Install new light fixture
- Make floating shelves
- Add art
- Find a rug
- Swap out almond colored outlets with white
I have a feeling we are going to be totally down to the wire with this one. Can we pull it off? Let’s hope! Be sure to stop over at Calling it Home to check out all of the other participating bloggers’ progress too!
